The month of September in Esposende hosted the 4th edition of the Late Summer Equestrian Festival, held at Clube Hípico do Norte (CHN). The event, which took place from September 5 to 14 with a total prize money of 93 500€, attracted over 180 riders from Portugal, Ireland, Sweden, Brazil, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, France, and Finland, boosting its national and international reach.
The highlights of the festival were the 2* Grand Prix competitions, featuring top-level winners:
- July 7: João Marquilhas & Eureka Du Vernay 🎖️
- July 14: Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida & U2 Westleven Z 🏅
Beyond the high-level competition, the festival offered moments of socializing and fun, including the traditional “Late Summer Festival Dinner,” bringing together riders, spectators, and organizers in a festive and welcoming atmosphere. The “6 Bars” competition was also part of the program, challenging riders to clear a sequence of six progressively taller obstacles, testing both courage and skill. Additional highlights included the “Sunset Boat Ride” and the launch of the educational and social project “Além da Sela.”
Leveraging its strategic location, CHN aimed to provide all participants and visitors with an unforgettable experience, marked by the excitement of the competitions and the warm atmosphere experienced throughout the two weekends. The event concluded with a sense of celebration and enthusiasm, serving as the starting point for the 5th edition of the festival in 2026.
